The fort/house at the back of our field has now been winterized by some of the children here! I don’t think there are any residents scheduled but it is now ready! It even has its own mailbox! 😍

This week was Administrative Secretary’s Day. Barb Lentz has been in our office doing a fabulous job for over 8 years! Those of you who know her can appreciate when I say she is the heart and smile of Cedar Lane! She is often the first one people meet and she treats each one so lovingly and graciously. She always takes time for people, does above and beyond for everyone, puts her own needs at the bottom of the list and shines Jesus radiantly! Barb - thank you for being part of Cedar Lane and helping all of us to be more like Jesus! ❤️❤️ We love and appreciate you!

New stairs for the upstairs apartment! They were starting to lean a little!!

A lot can happen in 24 hours! Late Saturday afternoon saw youth from Laurel Hill Bible Church playing shaving cream capture the flag on the back of Cedar Lane's property. An hour later 15 counselors and staff arrived from High Point Camp in Pennsylvania. They were returning from a weekend camping near the shore to head back to Pennsylvania. Monday evening the ladies missions group from Grace Bible Church in Barrington met in our library for a wonderful meeting of missions, prayer, and showing love and care for Cedar Lane. The Lord has His hand on this special place!!

Loved hearing from Doug and Nancy Berglund at Laurel Hill Bible Church yesterday. They are former residents of Cedar Lane.

Wonderful evening at Grace Bible Church's missions conference! A church that has loved Cedar Lane for years!

We've had 3 work groups in the last 2 weeks. THANK YOU Pilgrim Academy, Whiting Bible Church and Graceway Church! We are so thankful for all you did! We had such fun serving side by side with you!

Dear friends I am getting on to post some sad news...our beloved Beth Smith has gone home to be with the Lord today. She was admitted into the hospital last night and passed at noon today. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers. We were all blessed by her in so many ways and will miss her terribly.....but thankfully she is with Her Savior and is no longer in pain. I will post funeral information as I receive it.

We are still awaiting the CO for the new home. It is so close but the township has some last minute things they want done. Please pray for its completion since we could use the room! Been quite full the last few months....and into next year too!
